Technology Resource Page
John McNair, Technology Director, and Anne Hensley, IT Admin I, support the college labs, classrooms, faculty, staff, GTAs, and GAs. Dan Greene, Technology Coordinator, is our third support staff and works for the School of Information Sciences. We work together to cover college technology needs throughout the year.
Anti-Virus Software: Because the University of Tennessee wants to do everything that it can to help ensure a secure computing environment, all students need to have antivirus installed on their computers. OIT recommends Microsoft Security Essentials for Windows PCs and ClamXav for Mac operating systems. University-owned PC computers use Microsoft Endpoint.
We have several labs available for use by students and faculty of the College of Communication & Information. Some of the labs have a reservation system, others are available on a first come/first served basis.
